We are blessed with much. It is truly incredible.
There is one situation in particular, I need to express my gratitude for.
We have a small home, that is shared with my brother & his sweet wife. There are always messes, dishes in the sink, toys all over the floor. Always. While it can be easy to think "I wish I was back in my very own home, I wish this place didn't always feel so crowded and crazy."& while others find it so easy to assume it's a "hard situation" all of those things that couldn't be further from the truth. My life, my heart & my home are so full of love & gratitude it could burst.
One day my kids will be all grown up & will look back on this time in their lives. I want them to remember it being a happy experience, not a rough one. I want them to say "Member when we all lived together with uncle Doug & ant Krystal? That was so fun!"
We all have each other, to lean on, laugh at & make memories with.
We all sleep safely & soundly in our own beds. We all wake each morning to a warm breakfast & end each eve with a delicious supper. We are all healthy & strong. Physically, mentally & spiritually. While I wont pretend like it doesn't have it's challenges, it works for us & I wouldn't change a thing.
So, thank you. No, really... Thank you.
On that note, here is our thanksgiving.
We went to ant Kerry's same as every year. Brian smoked the turkey same as every year. We used great great great great great great ... Grandmas china same as every year. The kids ran & slid, up & down the hallway just like we did as wee ones. The pups played. We stood in our circle, held hands & talked about what we are thankful for same as every year. We lit a candle for ant T & all of the others who couldn't be with us that one's semi new. We at delush food same as every year. Everyone was happy.
