Tickle Protectors :: Grilled Cheese :: Dance

If you put 9,000 pairs of your fathers socks on at the same time, they serve as "tickle protectors". K & I learned this early one morning as P hopped into bed with us, fully prepared to come up against the wrath of the "tickle monster" whom is Klint.

With a swim mask on, is the only way to play with trains. Duh.

Smoked gouda & blueberry grilled cheese on sourdough, plus hot choc is da bomb.

P started a new ballet/tap class. They are practicing for their Christmas show & I laugh while watching from the corner. Not cause it's funny these littles are seriously good, but because it makes me that happy.

Brother enjoys being in the audience as well. He knows all the moves... pretends like he doesn't

We go to Ramona for craft fair / crepe lunch dates w Ant Penny & Linda.

All Hallows Eve

Was a good one this year. I'd even go so far as to say it was a Tanner Family best! 

P was Ariel, T was Leonardo. GASP! I know... So surprising. 

Leo is 3 years old now & big boy'd it up. He, along with sis, was a trick-or-treatin' champ. It was a ton of fun to see him really get into it this time 'round.

Ant Penny came up, us gals got to spend time together & it took 19 people to take my kids out. I mean really... who wouldn't want to go out the these gems?!

Adults at Disney

We go to Disneyland. A lot. & always with the babes in tow. Of course. The last time was for Teddys 3 year old burfday. K & I decided that an adult Disney day was in order. With both of our birthdays & our 6 year! wedding anniversary coming up all in the same week & Ant Penny FINALLY coming home from her 19 year long trip to Alaska, seemed meant to be. She came up to spend an entire day with the P & the T & away we went!
WEEEEEEE-HAW!

We did a lot of great things. Rode big people roller coasters, didn't care that a bunch of the cool kids rides were closed, took the stairs, ate even more junk food than normal, sat next to each other, took a power nap on a bench... The list goes on & on really.

On the way home we stopped in Oceanside for a late night walk/ make out sesh on the pier.

It was a truly perfect day.

Indians & Trains

Meet "Polly-otus the indian." She "hunts animals & is sure to use all of the parts... Meat to eat & skins for clothing." See her tiger pants & snake skin & panda bear top, while she bravely stares danger in the eye, prepares to pounce on it, takes formation.... Then makes a funny face at it. If you are a savage, you better watch out!

Meanwhile, Tedster plays with trains & would prefer I take photos of him than his toys.
I'd prefer that too.

I love trees. You probably already know this.

You probably also already know that my daughter has a very unique style. This morning I dropped her off to school in a vintage pink plaid dress, pink polka dotted leggings, one Hello Kitty sock & one not Hello Kitty sock, silver sparkly Toms, purple polka dotted jacket & one pink glove. Yes only one. She knows it's different. SHE likes it, so she does it. Truth be told, I like it too.
Only it wasn't until just the other day that I realized, "wait one gosh darned second! She gets it from me!! WAHOOOO! I'm cool like Polly!" Well, thats still to be determined. While my style isn't as extreme as hers, I also wear things that wouldn't typically be considered cute or that would "go together." But hey! Whats cozier on a chilly fall morning than a grandpa sweater, maxi skirt, thick winter socks & high-top mocs? Not a lot I tell ya. I beamed with a bit more pride that day.

Another day we ventured to a cliff at the edge of America.

Always be sure to check your boots for small cars & trucks before an attempt at putting them on.
Also, don't be fooled when you turn it over & 2 of them fall out... There will be a couple more shoved way down in the toe. They will be hard to get out.

This guy....
I can see him from my cozy spot in bed & each day he welcomes me with a new beauty. He was lookin' especially handsome on this morning. It almost seemed as if he got up & ready to have his photo taken. So I humored him.
